Safer, together.
Every gate. Every neighbour. Every child home.
Every resident, contractor and domestic worker carries a verified badge. Guests tell you when they’re at the gate, and urgent notices reach every home at once.
Know who’s at the gate.
One glance to know if they belong.
Whoever is on duty at the gate and any resident in the street use the same scan, and every scan is logged against the person who made it.
Scan the badge, or type the code
A QR code on a printed badge or the holder’s phone, with a short access code for when the camera can’t read it.
The verdict comes first
Valid, expiring or revoked, in colour, icon and word, then the photo, then who the person works for.
Call or report in one tap
Phone the team lead or the estate office to check, or report a concern linked to that badge.
Verification runs both ways
Residents carry a badge too. A gardener stopped in the street can check the person asking.

Contractors and workers
Contractors onboard their own crews.
Your office stops typing in other people’s staff. The garden service, the pool company and the builder each register their own workers, and you can see every badge they hold.
- The estate adds the company and appoints one team lead per crew.
- The team lead captures each worker in the app: name, ID number, a face photo and a body photo.
- A worker’s badge can’t outlast the team’s contract, and suspending a company suspends its badges.
- Print badges at credit-card or lanyard size, one at a time or a whole team at once.

Estate communication
When it matters, every phone hears it.
Send a notice from the console and it lands as a push and in every resident’s inbox, so a phone on silent still has the message waiting.
- Urgent notices reach every phone, and nobody can mute them.
- Choose who hears it: the whole estate, a phase, chosen homes, or the contractors too.
- Estate news and security updates arrive as channels residents follow.
- Guests tap “I’m at the gate” and the home hears at once (guest mode add-on).
- Reminders go out the day before a booking, an event or a visit.

New in the Hub: Paint colours
The approved exterior colours for 2027.
The Hub
Everything residents ask the office.
The Hub holds your estate’s own information, plus a directory of contractors your neighbours have actually used. It lists businesses, never residents or workers.
- Rules, working hours, insurance, emergency numbers, approved paint colours and documents, in one place.
- Contractors see the building rules they must follow, never the insurance or levy contacts.
- Reviews come only from residents whose job was logged and finished.
- Ratings and order are never for sale, and sponsored listings are always labelled.
- Ask a business to call you back, sharing only the contact details you choose.

Privacy and POPIA
Your visitor book is a POPIA problem. This is the fix.
A book on the counter, photocopied IDs and records kept forever leave the estate exposed. Safestate collects only what verification needs and keeps a defensible record of who saw it.
ID numbers encrypted
Encrypted at rest, masked for residents, and kept out of logs and error reports.
No directory of people
A person is found only by scanning their badge or typing its code. Nobody can browse the register.
Every look is on record
Each scan, badge and full record viewed is logged against the person who did it. The scan log exports to CSV.
Photos don’t linger
Photographs of revoked and expired badges are purged automatically after the period your estate sets.
Consent in their language
Captured when a person is added, with who captured it and when. Notices in English, Afrikaans and isiZulu.
Photos for people, not machines
No facial recognition. A photograph is there for a person to compare, and is served through links that expire in minutes.
Your estate is the responsible party; Safestate is the operator. Onboarding comes with a POPIA pack: the operator agreement, a notice for the gate, a retention schedule and a brief for your Information Officer.
Privacy in detailFor admins, residents and contractors.
One platform, with each person seeing only what their role allows. Estates, homes and contractor teams stay strictly apart.
Estate admins Web console
Run the estate from one screen.
Capture phases and units, invite homeowners, add contractor companies, send notices, work the incident and action-item queues, export the scan log and keep the Hub current.
Residents Mobile app
Your badge and your estate, in your pocket.
My QR is one tap from the home screen. Scan anyone, register your domestic worker and guests, report an incident with photos, book the clubhouse and find a plumber your neighbours rate.
Contractors App and console
One login, every estate you work at.
Team leads onboard their own workers, print badges, and switch between estates in a tap. Workers carry their badge on their phone or on a lanyard.
Safer, together.
See it on your estate.
We’ll walk your trustees through a scan, a badge and the console, using your estate’s own structure.
